Role Summary

Senior Manager, Procurement โ€šร„รฌ Capital Construction. Leads development, execution, and management of integrated category strategies for Capital Investment and acts as the Category Lead for all capital projects in the USA. Oversees procurement and contracting strategies for Engineering and Construction Services in alignment with US capital plans, with potential support to other regions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Projects Procurement Lead
    • Procure Engineering and Construction services for all strategic capital projects in the USA (additional regions may be supported).
    • Develop and implement Project Procurement strategies in collaboration with Business teams, leveraging support from Engineering suppliers depending on the project delivery model (e.g., EPCM, EPC, Design and Build).
  • Global Category Lead
    • Develop and implement the overarching strategy for the Construction categories.
    • Support the Engineering team in aligning work practices across GSK's Global Supply Chain for Rx, Vx, and R&D sectors.
    • Develop performance-based contracts and deliverables for consultancy services.
    • Implement Engineering Services, Project Management and Project Controls categories within the region.
    • Foster internal collaboration with site and global engineering teams to achieve Capex objectives and deploy strategies globally.
    • Lead complex negotiations for Engineering and Construction Services to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
    • Deliver compliant, well-specified agreements with clear ROI.
    • Ensure effective contract management and proactive corrective actions for deviations.
    • Oversee SRM program with key suppliers focusing on contract performance and governance.
    • Streamline supplier base by prioritizing preferred suppliers.
    • Conduct external benchmarking to align with market standards.
    • Generate value in quality, delivery, safety, and cost; recruit and oversee procurement resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs or masterโ€šร„รดs degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, Engineering.
  • 8+ years of procurement experience across key processes (category management, market analysis, sourcing, negotiation, contract management, supplier relationship management).
  • Understanding technical categories within capital projects: building services, process/biotech equipment, construction, technical contractors.
  • Business acumen, analytical and financial skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Capex projects and construction.
  • Experience in Pharma/Life Science.
  • Experience in Lean / Six Sigma tools.
  • Fluent in French.
