Role Summary

Senior Manager, Procurement – Capital Construction. Lead development, execution, and management of integrated category strategies for Capital Investment. Category Lead for all capital projects in the USA, with potential regional support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Projects Procurement Lead: Accountable for procuring Engineering and Construction services for all Strategic capital projects in USA; develop and implement Project Procurement strategies in collaboration with Business teams and depending on project delivery model.
  • Global Category Lead: Develop and implement overarching strategy for Construction categories. Align practices across GSK's Global Supply Chain for Rx, Vx, and R&D sectors. Develop performance-based contracts for consultancy services. Implement Engineering Services, Project Management and Project Controls categories within the region. Collaborate with stakeholders to deploy strategies globally and manage transitions. Lead complex negotiations to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery. Ensure compliant, well-specified agreements and effective contract management. Oversee SRM with key suppliers, streamline supplier base to preferred suppliers, conduct external benchmarking, and generate value in quality, delivery, safety, and cost. Recruit and oversee procurement resources.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Business, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Required: 8+ years of procurement experience across category management, market analysis, sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Required: Understanding of technical categories within capital projects (building services, process/biotech equipment, construction, technical contractors).
  • Required: Business acumen, analytical and financial skills.
  • Preferred: Experience in Capex projects and construction; Pharma/Life Science exposure; Lean/Six Sigma tools; French language skills.
