Senior Manager, Process Development

Role: Senior Scientist leading oligonucleotide process development within Arrowhead's CMC Developmental Chemistry team. Responsibilities include directing a team of chemists, optimizing solid-phase synthesis and downstream processes, supporting manufacturing, troubleshooting, and implementing process improvements for clinical candidates. The role involves process scale-up, tech transfer, batch record review, and collaboration across analytical, manufacturing, and regulatory functions to ensure cGMP compliance. Requirements: PhD with 4+ years or MS with 10+ years, or BS with 12+ years of experience in Chemistry or related field; expertise in oligonucleotide synthesis, organic chemistry, and analytical techniques; excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred: familiarity with process scale-up, cGMP, Cytiva instrumentation (OP100, Unicorn, Avant), oligonucleotide conjugation, and regulatory standards. The focus is on RNAi therapeutics targeting genetic diseases, with development activities supporting clinical-stage oligonucleotide formulations for liver and lung indications.
