Position: Senior Manager, Principal Business Analyst (LIMS/ELN Product Team)

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead hands-on configuration, validation, and rollout of ELN/LIMS, entity registration, and connected scientific platforms across research groups.
- Translate scientific workflows into platform schemas, templates, and automation (usability, compliance, AI-readiness).
- Partner with teams across Instrument Connectivity, Data Migration, and Protein Registration to deliver integrated platform capabilities on program timelines.
- Manage Jira boards; write user stories and technical specifications; work directly with developers and QA to drive delivery.
- Evaluate emerging generative AI/LLM tools for lab informatics workflows; prototype and implement AI-powered capabilities (within or alongside Benchling).
- Maintain an AI capability roadmap for the LIMS/ELN stack; champion data structuring for downstream machine learning and cross-program AI.
- Elicit, structure, and prioritize platform requirements with research scientists and data governance leads (tactical and strategic).
- Design solutions meeting regulatory requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) while enabling cutting-edge R&D.
- Develop and execute test plans (functional requirements, data integrity, compliance); lead/support UAT and drive issues to deployment readiness.
- Ensure configurations and change controls comply with GxP and BMS quality standards.
- Design training, demos, self-service resources, and develop documentation (user guides, SOPs, system specifications).
- Monitor platform usage, collect feedback, and translate insights into prioritized enhancements; communicate program status, risks, and recommendations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–8 years’ experience as a technology analyst, platform analyst, or scientific informatics role in pharma/biotech/CRO.
- Hands-on experience with LIMS and/or ELN; Benchling experience strongly preferred.
- Agile/Scrum proficiency (Jira, user stories, sprint planning) and SDLC fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of data models, databases, APIs, and integration patterns for lab informatics.
- Ability to evaluate and deploy new digital tools (including AI/automation) in scientific/regulated settings.
- Strong analytical skills; able to translate complex scientific requirements into implementable technical solutions.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; comfortable presenting to scientists and senior IT/business leaders.
- Familiarity with GxP regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Direct deployment experience with Benchling plus at least one other platform (Dotmatics, Genedata, Revvity/PerkinElmer Signals, Sapio Sciences).
- Exposure to generative AI/LLM APIs/agentic workflow frameworks with hands-on prototyping or implementation.
- Experience with data analytics, scientific reporting tools (Spotfire/Power BI), or lab data pipelines.
- Certification in BA (CBAP/CCBA) or PM (PMP/SAFe).
- Familiarity with antibody discovery/biologics characterization/high-throughput screening.
- Ability to write basic scripts (Python, SQL) to interrogate platform data and automate tasks.

Compensation & Benefits (as stated):
- San Diego, CA: $165,120–$200,088 (full-time).
