Role Summary

Senior Manager, Platform Developer at Bristol Myers Squibb. Lead a team within the Spartan group focused on a React-based application built on a Graph Database (Neo4J) and hosted on AWS, with data pipelines backed by Python services. Write, debug, and review high-level, performant code and collaborate with development teams, analytics engineers, and stakeholders to maintain and optimize the cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Design, debug, and review high-level, performant and tested Python code.
  • Deploy new infrastructure quickly to various environments and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write and debug frontend code such as ReactJS.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of applications and analytics assets such as data models, ML, and AI.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices, including regular security assessments and audits.
  • Optimize AWS resources for cost efficiency and performance while staying up-to-date on best practices.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing and supporting AWS infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Graph Databases e.g. Neo4J, Neptune. Experience with ontologies and knowledge graphs is a plus.
  • Working experience with change management (Dev, Tst, PRD).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Grafana.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate and present complex information clearly and concisely across all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise, establishing a strong reputation for themselves and the team.
