Position Summary
- Design, build, and scale core analytics platform tools for PDS verticals (Product Development, GBU, Global Supply Chain, Global Quality, GTS).
Key Responsibilities
- Apply operations research methods (MILP, DES, stochastic modeling, decision analysis under uncertainty) to PDS use cases.
- Architect, implement, and maintain production-grade Python codebases (modularity, testability, performance, reliability), including operationalizing MILP/DES.
- Convert prototypes to robust production solutions with BI&T, platform teams, and peer developers.
- Use AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code or similar) while maintaining code comprehension and rigor.
- Advance engineering best practices: CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, linting, reproducible environments, and technical documentation.
- Expose model workflows via an MCP server for secure agentic interactions/automation.
- Collaborate to triage/prioritize platform development and communicate trade-offs and uncertainty.
- Mentor junior team members; lead reviews/design walkthroughs; manage multiple workstreams.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- PhD in Operations Research/Applied Math/CS or related quantitative STEM.
- 2β3 years (preferably industry) building/deploying analytics/OR solutions.
- Strong production (or production-adjacent) Python engineering expertise.
- Strong Git and modern collaborative workflows (PRs, code reviews, releases).
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools in real workflows.
- Grounding in optimization, simulation, stochastic modeling, and/or risk modeling.
- Excellent written/verbal communication for technical and business audiences.
Preferred
- Pharma product development, supply chain, manufacturing, or demand/supply planning.
- AWS and full-stack analytics/platform development.
- Cloud-enabled analytics/data pipelines/data-lake integration.
- SQL and modern data engineering; experience leading small teams.
