Shifts Available: M–F, Standard Working Hours
Responsibilities may include:
- Build Operational Excellence structure/governance for the Devens facility; develop policy deployment (Hoshin Kanri), value stream maps, visual management, and lean tools.
- Improve operational excellence maturity; identify and scope process improvement opportunities aligned to strategic priorities.
- Establish processes/systems to improve quality, throughput/capacity, reduce costs, and reduce lead-time/cycle times.
- Use BI/analytics (e.g., Tableau) and simulations (Arena/Promodel) to improve performance metrics and resource utilization.
- Create/maintain capacity and simulation models; drive capacity solutions.
- Establish work measurement/labor standards; analyze workforce utilization, layout, costs, process flow, and schedules.
- Lead/run internal projects; direct multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time/on budget/at required quality.
- Support investigations, test plans, CAPAs, inspection readiness, and compliant cGMP operations; review/revise technical documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement culture; resolve end-to-end production issues; drive organization-wide changes.
Leadership:
- Continuous improvement, teamwork, urgency, collaboration; compliance/health/safety performance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (required/preferred):
- Lean/continuous improvement culture; end-to-end process improvement track record.
- Policy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri) experience.
- Lean tools (value stream maps, visual management); Operational Excellence/Lean Manufacturing; Project & Change Management.
- cGMP and multi-national biopharmaceutical/cell therapy regulatory understanding; influence/communication; strategic thinking.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering/Business/Science or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (required/preferred from accredited institution).
- 8+ years Operational Excellence experience in biotech/pharma (cell therapy preferred).
Travel: Up to 10%.
