Position Summary
The Hypercell team is focused on transforming cell therapy operations by streamlining supporting processes through digital, automation, and AI-driven solutions. The Operational Excellence and Project Management Lead will drive continuous improvement, standardization, and efficiency across the cell therapy network.
Key Responsibilities
- Define transformative processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Partner with process engineering, quality, and operations teams to identify/develop projects for simplification, automation, and standardization (supporting multiple projects from an OpEx and project manager perspective).
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Facilitate value stream mapping, lean processing, and Kaizen events to address operational pain points and unlock efficiencies.
- Create facility project mapping, timelines, and manage critical dependencies to deliver projects on time and in full.
- Support deployment of AI-facing tools and digital solutions to enhance decision-making and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with site and global stakeholders to harmonize best practices and align with broader Cell Therapy and Global Product Supply strategies.
- Champion continuous improvement, operational discipline, and innovation.
- Author and contribute to documentation including SOPs, training materials, and change control packages.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operational excellence, manufacturing, or process improvement roles (preferably cell therapy, biologics, or regulated biopharma).
- Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma (certification preferred).
- Experience with digital transformation, automation, and data analytics tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive measurable results.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GMP manufacturing and regulatory requirements for advanced therapies.
- Experience supporting digital and AI initiatives in manufacturing or technical operations.
- Ability to translate complex operational challenges into actionable improvement plans.
Compensation (as stated)
- Devens, MA: US $135,200โ$163,832 (starting range for full-time employees); additional incentives may be available (eligibility-based).
