Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Medical Affairs Contracts & Project Management is a critical team role, reporting to the Senior Director of Medical Affairs. This role will support the entire Medical and Scientific Affairs teams with operational and organizational needs related to vendor contracts, health care professional (HCP) consulting agreements, work orders for HCPs and vendors, purchase orders (POs), invoices, and related financial forms. This individual will liaise directly with Mirum’s vendors and HCP consultants to gather necessary documents, will consult the Mirum Compliance team to ensure appropriate fair market valuation (FMV) rates, and will work directly with the Mirum Legal team to prepare confidentiality agreements (CDAs), HCP agreements, purchase orders (POs) and other legal documents, and will serve as the primary Medical Affairs point of contact for the Mirum Legal Team. They will develop and maintain a system to track and organize Medical Affairs documents related to above agreements. They will assist with other Medical Affairs Operational and Project Management needs such as project-budget alignment, cross-functional coordination of projects, creation of work instructions, toolkits, and planning tools. Essential to this role are attention to detail, organizational skills, professionalism, discretion with sensitive and confidential information, and the ability to effectively communicate and work with internal and external partners in a fast-paced environment.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Support the Medical and Scientific Affairs teams with operational and organizational needs related to vendor contracts, health care professional (HCP) consulting agreements, work orders for HCPs and vendors, purchase orders (POs), invoices, and related financial forms.
  • Liaise with Mirum vendors and HCP consultants to gather necessary documents for preparing contracts, such as statements of work (SOWs) and budget proposals, HCP license and NPI information, CVs/resumes, and financial forms.
  • Collaborate with the Mirum Compliance team to ensure appropriate fair market valuation (FMV) rates.
  • Work with the Mirum Legal team to draft and route agreements, utilizing appropriate templates, processes, and systems.
  • Develop a system to track and organize Medical Affairs documents related to above agreements.
  • Assist with other Medical Affairs Operational needs such as project-budget alignment, and cross-functional coordination of projects and contracts.

Education/Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate (i.e. BS/BA, MS/MA, RN, PharmD) level of degree from an accredited university/program.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in Project Management, Medical Affairs, or Medical/Commercial Operations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies/partners.
  • Experience managing vendors and budgets.
  • Experience with Veeva Vault, CRM, and Project Management tools is desired.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Advanced computer and Internet skills, including knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, DocuSign, etc.
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must display great attention to detail, professionalism, discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to interact with and coordinate activities with internal partners (i.e. Legal, Finance, Accounting, Medical Affairs, Marketing, etc.) as they relate to on-going medical affairs projects.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision and guidance.

The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $190,000 USD. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to; skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.
