About the Role
The Commercial Analytics position is crucial for driving data-informed decision-making within our organization. This role supports commercial strategy, which includes field-based activities and marketing strategies/initiatives. This role will support headquarter stakeholders across a broad range of functions including Sales, Marketing, Sales Training, Field Force Effectiveness, Market Access, and Commercial IT. This role is a high-impact, high-visibility role within the commercial organization. As part of pre-launch/launch activities this role will be instrumental to inform the development of call and alignment planning, incentive compensation (IC) plan administration, and CRM deployment (Veeva). Additional focus will include analyzing marketing performance metrics to provide actionable insights that enhance our commercial field-based strategies and marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, optimize marketing spend, and improve customer engagement. By leveraging advanced analytical tools and methodologies, this individual will contribute to the overall growth and success of our commercial initiatives. Ultimately, this position aims to ensure that our commercial efforts are not only effective but also aligned with our business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry (client or consulting side).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization and analytics assets and software (e.g. Tableau).
- Advanced proficiency in accepted sales force productivity tools and CRM platforms.
- Advanced knowledge third party claims data including Veeva, Komodo, and/or IQVIA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with advanced analytics tools such as SQL, R, or Python.
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine ongoing sub-national performance and reporting platforms to continually focus the field teams on the key levers and region-specific analytics that will positively impact brand performance throughout phases on the launch.
- Lead developments and updates of territory alignment, call planning, and incentive compensation.
- Leverage data and analytics to support the business planning process for marketing and field team to enable insights to inform strategy and tactics.
- Conduct ad-hoc analytics to shed light on a wide range of business questions around customer segmentation, patient journey and patient buying process analytics.
- Manage national brand performance reporting and diagnostics for functional leadership (sales, market access, marketing), including the design and implementation of reporting frameworks.
- Conduct demand forecasting initiatives using diverse methodologies.
- Analyze marketing data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand their data needs and provide insights that drive strategy.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and consumer preferences that inform marketing strategies.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Evaluating emerging data sources and analytical methodologies to continually elevate our Commercial Analytics function.

Compensation & Benefits
Annualized base salary ranges from $100,000 to $160,000 plus target incentive; actual salaries will vary and may be above or below this range commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
