Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Market Research and Analytics will design, implement, manage, and execute market research and analyze secondary data for one of AbbVieβs Oncology brands in designated therapeutic areas. Derive insights from primary and secondary data and partner with the commercial team to inform decision-making around brand strategies and tactics. Hybrid role with focus on Primary Market Research.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Act as market research expert and insight lead for the Multiple Myeloma commercial team and support product launch in the US.
- Build trusted relationships with therapeutic area leadership to guide brand strategies and key initiatives using objective customer insights.
- Co-create and execute stakeholder plans; eliminate redundancies and ensure clear, consistent communication.
- Create, maintain, and execute market research plans; align with brand strategy and adapt to business needs.
- Build analytics solutions (with manager support) to answer critical questions and inform brand strategy.
- Develop presentations with clear storylines, communicating insights and recommendations using integrated data sources.
- Represent the voice of the targeted customer in creative development.
- Maintain knowledge of market/competitive trends and healthcare environment and channel investment performance.
- Expand insight methodologies and toolkit.
- Ensure research activities are on time, within budget, and compliant with financial/ethical guidelines.
- Work with cross-functional forecasting to develop data-driven financial narratives.
- Travel up to 15% (based on business need).
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred (MBA/MA/MS/PhD/PharmD).
- 6+ years Market Research and Analytics; business development or strategic consulting preferred (pharma/biotech/related).
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to analyze/synthesize/present insights to stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced matrix environment.
- Expert custom research methodology experience; hands-on qualitative/quantitative project management.
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Pharmaceutical data experience (e.g., prescribing, institutional sales, payer-prescriber, formulary, patient-level) is a plus.
