Major Responsibilities:
- Lead oncology-related projects and provide insights to influence AbbVie early pipeline and business development market access strategies and decisions through data analytics, customer insights, and business knowledge.
- In partnership with U.S. Market Access leaders, plan and deliver insights to identify payer opportunities and threats and make recommendations for market access strategies/tactics for pipeline assets and business development activities.
- Use secondary and claims analysis to assess the current landscape, model future market dynamics, and portray risks, opportunities, and sensitivities.
- Demonstrate understanding of the U.S. healthcare landscape and AbbVie therapeutic areas to identify and address opportunities and threats.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal U.S. Market Access and Commercial Development stakeholders; align insights with broader commercial goals and with HCP/consumer insights.
- Lead with minimal oversight.
- Functional scope includes:
- Lead insights on health plan, PBM, and trade (pharmacy, GPO, buy & bill) strategies across payer channels using primary research, data analytics, and modeling; communicate recommendations including opportunity, risks, clinical trial population/endpoints implications, and inform financial projections based on launch pricing and contracting.
- Conduct investigative analytics to validate/quantify market phenomena; identify value drivers for clinical data development and value positioning.
- Integrate secondary data sources and triangulate findings; synthesize insights into compelling narratives; lead supplier/stakeholder management and develop analytical strategies.
- Serve as a market access insight partner and trusted advisor to therapeutic area leadership to guide brand strategies and tactics.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Finance, and/or Applied Mathematics.
- Working knowledge of multivariate statistics, analytical software (e.g., SPSS Modeler, SAS, Dataiku), and pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, SHA Metys, SSR, AnalySource, MMIT, IPD, CMS, HIRC, HSG).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in market analytics/marketing research/field sales support in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- 1–2 years’ pharmaceutical market access experience with health plans, PBMs, hospital systems, specialty pharmacies, and healthcare policy stakeholders.
- Strong storytelling skills; ability to distill complex information into concise, impactful communications.
- Ability to work within ambiguities and uncertainty.

Preferred:
- Masters/MBA.
- Strong working knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical data sources (formulary and claims).
- 1–2 years’ pharmaceutical marketing insights experience with significant physician and consumer stakeholder expertise.
