Role Summary
Senior Manager for GTN and Managed Markets Analytics reporting to the Director of Managed Markets Operations, Pricing and Analytics. This role leads gross-to-net inputs, projections, and assessments for US operations, conducts advanced analyses and builds financial models, and presents findings to executive leadership. It requires deep understanding of US Managed Markets dynamics, strong analytical and technical skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Drive GTN close and forecast processes; analyze and summarize gross-to-net variances by channel and segment
- Prepare monthly GTN forecast using Excel models and secondary data analytics
- Lead monthly GTN review meetings with US Finance leadership; disseminate key variance drivers and inform forecast adjustments
- Provide strategic oversight for long-range planning and annual net revenue/budget processes related to payer mix and GTN
- Coordinate with Accounting, BICO, Finance, Global Market Access, Government/Public Affairs and Managed Markets leadership to align assumptions and inputs
- Analyze potential statutory and regulatory changes affecting the business
- Develop bi-annual industry price increase reports highlighting pricing trends across segments
- Serve as SME on GTN drivers through analysis of data sources and stakeholder engagement
- Prepare presentations for senior/executive management on trends, forecasts, and potential policy impacts
- Generate new analytics ideas to deepen understanding of payer/channel/pricing trends and Vertex impact
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (Masters’ in Finance, Business, Public Policy or Data Science preferred)
- Required: 6+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech analytics and forecasting
- Required: Ability to mine data to identify trends; strong data analytics capabilities; attention to detail
- Required: Quantitative analysis to identify implications; expert modeling skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Required: Clear communication to senior leaders on market access and pricing drivers
- Required: Ability to manage complexity in a matrixed environment; proactive analytics delivery
- Required: Experience with pharma/managed markets data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony Health, MMIT, DRG; 867 data; chargebacks; rebates)
- Required: Self-motivated; thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Preferred: Working understanding of statutory government pricing methodologies (AMP, BP, 340B, NonFAMP)
- Preferred: Strong US payer/trade landscape knowledge; entrepreneurial problem-solving mindset
- Preferred: SQL and/or SAS or Python; experience with financial systems (Oracle, Hyperion)
