The opportunity

The Sr. Manager of Managed Care Contracting, Regional & Medicaid is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and supporting the execution of contracts with Regional Payers and Medicaid stakeholders. This role plays a key part in translating business strategies into contractual agreements that reflect sound legal and financial terms while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Sr. Manager collaborates cross-functionally with Account Management, Payer Contracting Analytics, Payer Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all contract documentation. This position will support Teva’s Innovative and Biosimilar product portfolio.

Location: This is a hybrid opportunity that can be based out of our Parsippany, NJ or West Chester, PA offices.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

Contract Drafting & Authoring

  • Collaborate with Account Management, Payer Contracting Analytics, Payer Marketing, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Commercial teams to develop and implement contracting strategies as aligned with Teva’s business objectives.
  • Manage RFP, bid and approval process for assigned accounts to meet required internal and external timelines.
  • Maintain contract templates and clause libraries in coordination with Legal and Compliance.
  • Translate negotiated business terms into clear and legally accurate language.

Contract Lifecycle Management & Process Improvement

  • Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, including internal review, revisions, and redlines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, version control, and recordkeeping using Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the contract development process.
  • Assist in implementing tools, templates, and workflows that improve efficiency and consistency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Account Management, Payer Marketing, Legal, Market Access, Pricing, Finance, Compliance) to gather input and align contract terms with business objectives to ensure successful implementation.
  • Partner with Payer Contracting Analytics, Finance and Compliance to ensure key contract changes impacting financials are captured for accrual and business planning purposes.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and Legal during contract drafting and review processes.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all contract terms comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal policies, including but not limited to government pricing, anti-kickback statutes, and best price regulations.
  • Support Finance and Contract Compliance teams on audits, payment reconciliation and disputes, as necessary.

Your Experience And Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, MBA or JD or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in payer contracting, healthcare law, or managed care agreements (pharma/biotech or health insurance industry preferred).
  • Proficiency in contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards including anti-kickback statute, Medicaid Best Price, and regulatory guidance.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts into clear language.
  • Exceptional collaboration and project management skills.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with government pricing implications (e.g., Medicaid Best Price, AMP).
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and timelines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Travel Requirements

Approximately 5-10% domestic travel throughout the US. Occasional.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment.
  • Visual Acuity: Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
