Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Logistics Systems (Automation and Continuous Improvement) will lead the strategic development and execution of logistics systems, automation and continuous improvement initiatives across Global Logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Key member of Logistics team charged with design of logistics systems, including Oracle-based platforms.
- Oversee optimization of logistics systems, including Oracle-based platforms.
- Manage automation projects and ongoing performance to improve Logistics operations.
- Lead a team that manages cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with global logistics standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and training materials.
- Accountable for robustness of system and automation upgrades.
- Partner with IT and vendors to troubleshoot and enhance system functionality.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports and project teams.
- Report progress and KPIs to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Other Logistics related tasks, as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of logistics systems architecture and integration, especially Oracle Fusion.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience operating within or managing large-scale automation and systems integration projects or familiarity with emerging technologies in logistics automation (e.g., robotics, IoT, AI).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Excel, Teams and Sharepoint.
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database management, graphing, and presentation software.
- Proven experience with Oracle logistics modules and related enterprise systems.
- BachelorβΓΓ΄s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Manager: 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain systems, or operations management; Senior Manager: 8 years.
- Preferred degrees & certifications: Advanced Degrees, Project Management Professional (PMP), APICS.
- Experience in regulated industries, preferably life sciences or similar environments.
- May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
