Key Responsibilities:
- Partner to design solutions for KOL & External Engagement Platforms business needs; provide technical insight on feasibility, effort, and tradeoffs.
- Translate capability roadmaps into scalable architectures and development plans; assess constraints, dependencies, risks.
- Convert complex requirements into technical specifications and executable work tasks.
Solution Architecture & Technical Delivery:
- Build, configuration-manage, and integrate software aligned to business needs and standards, including HCP EngageNow, Veeva Events Portal, and similar engagement platforms.
- Support event/congress management platforms (e.g., SpotMe, Cadence) for execution and measurement of large-scale events and speaker programs.
- Implement integration frameworks connecting engagement platforms, CRM, analytics, and compliance systems.
- Translate requirements into delivery work; lead agile ceremonies; take end-to-end ownership of complex technical challenges.
- Coordinate integration of engagement platforms with upstream/downstream systems (CRM, web, analytics).
- Ensure compliance, auditability, and regulatory requirements are met; reinforce standard engagement workflows; enable automation/optimization.
Cross-Functional Technical Leadership:
- Ensure solutions align with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Direct vendor partners; escalate/resolve cross-capability technical challenges; mentor engineers.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Enterprise software/cloud architecture; system integration (APIs, data architecture).
- KOL identification/engagement, event workflows, HCP compliance/consent, speaker program governance, performance tracking.
- Experience designing/integrating enterprise digital platforms (e.g., Veeva Events Portal, SpotMe, Cadence, HCP EngageNow).
- Preferred: full-stack builder for external-facing apps; ability to design scalable engagement capabilities.
- Agile product development experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs in CS/engineering/IS or related.
- 7+ years (or 5+ years with Masterβs) in pharma customer engagement/KOL/events/patient advocacy with expertise in compliant engagement delivery.
- 2+ years as Tech Lead/Program Manager/Engineering Manager managing developers.
- Experience mentoring developers/vendors.
