Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Immunology Account Executive – Southeast Region leads, manages, and coaches a regional team of Immunology Account Executives to assess regional business opportunities within the assigned geography and priority Immunology Accounts (including IDN Health Systems, Group Practices, hospital systems, and specialty pharmacies) to deliver on product performance goals. The role requires deep understanding of Immunology brand value propositions and their effective execution with key customer influencers and decision-makers, collaborating across Immunology field sales organizations and AbbVie in-field support teams at the Region level.

Responsibilities

  • People Leadership
    • Develop, implement and execute effective skill development plans for direct reports. Deliver coaching during field-travel and engagement with IAEs during business and key account planning discussions. Evaluate execution of franchise priorities and generate plans to ensure performance of IAE’s to behavioral expectations.
    • Lead KAM and internal partnership communication to insure coordinated execution of AbbVie Immunology and IAE priorities. Monitor and enhance partner clarity on IAE roles across key partner organizations.
    • Develop and advance development planning with direct reports. Lead engagement of direct reports and partners to elevate Inclusion and Culture goals.
  • Business Strategy (Analysis, Planning, Execution)
    • Clarify and integrate marketing strategies into regional execution, including sales training needs, during in-field and National/Regional meetings to elevate regional effectiveness within key account management.
    • Collaborate with Market Access and Trade to understand the healthcare landscape and identify health system opportunities, conceptualizing solutions within approved standards.
    • Coach appropriate use of approved promotional materials with health economic messaging.
    • Lead analysis and application of sales data with direct reports and partners to inform strategic planning and execution.
    • Utilize IAE analytic tools (e.g., CURO) to assess regional performance and create strategic selling initiatives; communicate monthly regional performance against objectives.
    • Work with franchise leadership to develop regional pull-through plans in support of core execution priorities.
    • Drive regional execution of business and Key Account planning; manage direct reports in the process and monitor execution with tools like CURO.
    • Engage prioritized accounts directly to establish relationships with key customers in support of organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Required: Advanced analytical, coaching, direct people leadership, communication and presentation skills.
  • Required: Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting business.
  • Required: Ability to examine a complex business environment and develop/execute plans in response to market and account opportunities.
  • Preferred: In-depth experience working within large accounts and across KAM/Matrix teams.
  • Preferred: Immunology sales/sales leadership experience.
  • Other: Driving a personal auto or company vehicle, or related equipment; Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
