Role Summary

Nuvation Bio is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, HRIS to join the People Team. You will serve as the project manager for the Workday implementation and as the system administrator for Workday and other HR-related systems. You will also be responsible for all human capital data reporting and metrics.

Responsibilities

  • HRMS Implementation and System Support
    • Lead the People Team in implementing Workday. Design, implement, and manage the system. Collaborate with the implementation MSP, People Team, and IT management to develop plans for proposed systems, functionalities, and enhancements. Monitor the implementation and operation of approved systems, functionalities, and enhancements.
    • Develop and manage relationships with vendors.
    • Audit system capabilities for accuracy, integrity, and functionality by performing system testing; monitor and document test results; analyze results and document discrepancies; ensure adherence to HR policies. Continuously research and evaluate current systems and identify improvements.
    • Develop training and documentation of HR systems for users and promote HRIS usage across employees and managers.
    • Configure HR systems in conjunction with SMEs requesting changes.
    • Research new technologies and maintain knowledge of trends, compliance, and strategies in HRIS; participate in relevant user groups.
    • Collaborate with the wider People, Finance, and IT teams to support data integrity within HR systems.
  • HRIS Reporting and Metrics
    • Analyze human capital data and build dashboards within Workday to identify trends, correlations, issues, and opportunities in engagement, retention, workforce planning, and HR program effectiveness.
    • Perform regular and ad-hoc reporting to provide transparency into HR data for business and HR stakeholders.
    • Ensure analyses are user-friendly, secure, and well-presented for a range of stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements and audits, including data privacy requirements.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of in-depth experience implementing and using Workday
  • High technical aptitude and systems orientation
  • Knowledge of data privacy
  • Outstanding project management and communication skills with the ability to interact with customers to establish and develop system requirements; experience creating process flows, functional specifications, use case scenarios, and test plans
  • Expert knowledge in developing complex ad hoc queries and HR-related metrics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong customer service and ability to interact with employees at all levels
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong problem-solving/analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy; good judgment
  • Strong enthusiasm, drive, and a desire to learn
  • Excellent time management and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
