Senior Manager, Hematology Area Business Specialist (ABS) Team (East Coast) โ Field-based role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of field-based Oncology Area Business Specialists and be accountable for management, development, and training.
- Build a high-performing, motivated, engaged team and ensure consistency of approach across geographies.
- Strategically develop capabilities and training to facilitate site penetration and brand productivity in community accounts across supported territories.
- Assess needs per geography and develop strategic plans and training to build ABS skills to meet those needs.
- Connect with key external customers to gain insights and shape go-to-market plans to deliver business objectives.
- Partner compliantly with other Oncology Field teams (e.g., KAMs, sales representatives/DMs, FRMs, OCEs and their leaders) across portfolio promotion, pull-through, and reimbursement.
- Coach ABSs to work with field partners to assess sales opportunities hindered by reimbursement, account efficiencies/processes, or cost issues; expand Hematology sales in line with company policy/direction using professional education and marketing programs.
- Assist in providing solutions to key decision makers at community parent accounts and outlets.
- Coach the ABS team to serve as resources to customers on clinical, economic, and operational efficiencies, practice management, and payer coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree; minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech, or medical device sales.
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Oncology experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate others to success.
- Excellent business acumen, leadership skills, and knowledge of site-of-care operations and reimbursement.
- Valid driverโs license (in the U.S.) and willingness to travel at least 50% (may include overnight/weekend travel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of specialty sales experience.
- Previous experience in sales management.
- Working knowledge of buy-and-bill products.
