Role Summary

Senior Manager, Global Procurement - Direct (Raw Material) responsible for end-to-end procurement strategies and global category execution in Contract Development and Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes global/local sourcing strategies for the respective area of spend responsibility and optimizes value within the organization.
  • Leads, or works with stakeholder teams to solve sourcing needs when supply market analysis is needed to meet a business requirement.
  • Manages all aspects of sourcing events including but not limited to; Request for Proposals/Quotes/Information (RFP, RFQ, RFI, collectively RFx).
  • Develops and executes global/local market sourcing initiatives to optimize value, quality, innovation, speed to market, or other business needs.
  • Identifies global/local supply market projects and applies sourcing tools to optimize benefits to Regeneron.
  • Negotiates the commercial terms of contractual agreements with suppliers/spend under management, including pricing, delivery, payment terms, and quality.
  • Partner with the law department, quality, risk management, and supply chain to uniformly support the inclusion of relevant contractual terms and conditions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives including conducting performance meetings, developing scorecards, reviewing performance metrics, and managing supplier relationships to achieve category strategy goals.
  • Develops and implements strategies to drive supplier performance objectives and contracted outcomes (e.g., savings, SLAs, delivery, quality), and advocates using contracted suppliers with stakeholders when appropriate.
  • Support continuous improvements of the source-to-contract process, respond to audit information requests, participate in compliance reviews, and collaborate on department/company-wide initiatives.
  • Submit continuous improvement ideas per year in CI initiatives.
  • Support inquiries to inform and educate stakeholders regarding the sourcing and contract process and identify system/process enhancements.
  • Review and approve PO’s in the Oracle workflow for category spend under management and within approved limits; ensure contracts and quotes are reflected on the PO with appropriate summaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant, progressive experience (preferably 6 years in Pharma/Biotech sourcing) or Master’s degree plus 6+ years (preferably 4 years in Pharma/Biotech sourcing). CPSM/CPM preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Sourcing Contracting, ERP, eRFX systems (Oracle, Zycus, iCertis, etc.).
  • Advanced negotiation skills; cost modeling knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to formulate presentations and business cases.
  • Ability to build consensus and collaborate in a team with limited supervision; program/project management experience.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
