Role Summary

The Senior Manager, US Myeloid - MDS/MF will support the US Medical Director for myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and myelofibrosis (MF), contributing to the strategic and tactical execution of medical initiatives. This role is integral to advancing scientific engagement, supporting launch readiness, and driving medical excellence across key activities including training, advisory boards, congresses, and scientific communications.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to medical matrix activities and, in alignment with US Lead and MPL direction, shape and execute the US medical strategies for MDS and MF.
  • Assist in the creation, planning and execution of launch plans; including pre-, peri-, and post-launch tactics.
  • Effectively collaborate and provide scientific support to cross-functional teams such as regulatory, competitive intelligence, HEOR, and field medical.
  • Develop and execute medical tactics at national/regional congresses including data disclosures, medical booth development, and internal training.
  • Closely collaborate with Medical Communications for successful delivery of US/Global communications plans (e.g. publications, scientific content, scientific narrative, symposia, global independent medical educations, standard response letters).
  • Partner with Medical Evidence Generation to ensure support of BMS-sponsored clinical trials and investigator-sponsored research (ISRs) within the US portfolio.
  • Facilitate scientific exchange with Thought Leaders (TLs)/academic institutions and maintain relationships with external experts to identify unmet medical needs in the MDS and MF landscape (e.g. TL engagement plan).
  • Coordinate advisory board logistics and content, develop meeting summaries, and synthesize actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Commercialization & Access organizations to integrate medical perspectives into the commercialization process and ensure alignment between commercial and medical plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in MDS and MF, contributing to the development of scientific content and communication resources.
  • Perform other responsibilities allocated by medical leadership.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD, DO, NP, PA and/or PhD).
  • A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in medical affairs, clinical development, field medical, clinical practice and/or translational research in Hematology/Oncology is preferred.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in translating medical/clinical information into medical affairs strategies.
  • Ability to manage timelines and deliver high-quality work.
  • Experience engaging with thought leaders is a plus.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
