Role Summary
Senior Manager, Global Development - AI Engineer. Global Development is undertaking a digital transformation to integrate AI, machine learning, and automation into processes to reduce cycle times, improve quality, and enable more meaningful work. The role will develop platforms, processes, and technologies to incorporate AI across GD, working with engineers and scientists to drive transformative change and collaborating with stakeholders across Regeneron to align solutions with corporate strategy.
Responsibilities
- Implement, and refine novel algorithms and scalable AI/ML solutions tailored to GD applications (e.g., clinical trial design, regulatory intelligence, patient identification and stratification), with hands-on development and coding for production deployment.
- Develop, implement, and improve data architecture and engineering approaches for diverse data sources across GD.
- Contribute to infrastructure initiatives with IT to support advanced analytics (software and hardware).
- Collaborate with GD colleagues to help them approach AI/ML more effectively.
- Establish rigorous validation frameworks for AI models and monitor existing models for accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with the latest advances in the field and evaluate them for adoption where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Required: Deep understanding of generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and statistical modeling.
- Required: Deep expertise in programming (Python, R, etc.), with focus on applying advanced technical skills to data analysis, pipeline creation, automation, and software development.
- Required: Expertise in database platforms and cloud computing infrastructure.
- Required: Track record of model development, implementation to scale, maintenance, and evaluation in a healthcare or life sciences setting.
- Required: Experience managing and analyzing large-scale clinical datasets.
- Required: Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Required: Experience managing multiple projects.
- Required: Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Required: Travel up to 20%.
