Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, the Senior Manager, FP&A serves as the primary finance business partner for the corporate finance and G&A organization. Responsible for financial reporting and analysis, communicating performance insights, leading recurring planning processes, maintaining and enhancing financial planning systems, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance FP&A systems, including managing hierarchies and ensuring alignment between NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Planning & Budgeting.
- Coordinate expense forecasts and prepare reports incorporating purchase order and accrual data for rolling forecasts and annual operating plans.
- Develop and deliver P&L reporting, variance analysis, and financial insights; drive continuous improvement in forecasting and reporting.
- Provide strategic analysis and decision support to Corporate G&A functions.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure GAAP compliance, adherence to policies, and accuracy/reasonableness of accruals.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5β8 years of progressively responsible FP&A or finance experience (ideally pharma/biotech). Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
Key Candidate Skills/Qualities:
- Independent problem solver; strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience designing/improving financial systems and reporting.
- Proficiency with NetSuite, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, SmartView (or similar), including hierarchy management/troubleshooting.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; strong U.S. GAAP understanding.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
