Role Summary

Senior Manager, Finance responsible for consolidating Plan/Standards, Long Range Plan (LRP), Update/LBE and monthly reporting for Operations - Internal Manufacturing & Engineering (IME), spanning 23 manufacturing plants and multiple HQ functions. Provides direction and supervision to exempt finance staff in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • This position has sole oversight for the consolidation of Plan/Standards, Long Range Plan (LRP), Update/LBE and Monthly Reporting processes for Operations - Internal Manufacturing & Engineering (IME). This includes 23 Manufacturing plants and various Headquarters functions. Provide direction and supervision to exempt finance staff in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • High ability to identify/resolve financial issues independently. Develops recommendations and implements solutions. Considerable contact with varying levels of management requiring effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Lead oversight and review of the consolidation and preparation of management review packages for Update/LBE, Plan/Standards, and LRP. Work closely with manufacturing sites to understand the business and analyze submissions.
  • Responsible for the facilitation and coordination and consolidation of Actuals, which includes variance analysis as well as understanding the business to ensure commentary accurately portrays business issues.
  • Leadership responsibility of IME HQ P&L for all planning/reporting cycles.
  • Drive process and system improvements to ensure continued evolution of efficiencies.
  • Motivate and coach three direct exempt employees (four extended exempt staff); share ownership and visibility; make individuals feel their work is valued; get high productivity and morale from all employees.
  • Operates independently with significant interface across organizations and levels. Balance competing demands while achieving timelines.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support complex decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Required: A minimum of 6+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience.
  • Required: Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Required: High ability to identify/resolve financial issues independently. Incumbent must be able to manage multiple priorities and achieve required timelines.
  • Required: Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Preferred: CPA and/or MBA desirable.
  • Preferred: Experience in plant/cost accounting is a plus.
  • Preferred: Proficient in business applications - MS Excel, SAP, HFM and BPC.
  • Preferred: Experience with Aspire / IBM PA is a plus.
