Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute medical strategy and customer engagement in an assigned territory, coordinating compliantly with cross-functional colleagues.
- Maintain deep scientific/therapeutic area knowledge to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
- Provide truthful, balanced, accurate, scientifically supported responses to unsolicited HCP requests in compliance with Pfizer policies/SOPs/regulations.
- Share medical information and customer insights to inform medical strategy, content development, and execution.
- Identify and discuss gaps between evidence-based standards of care and real-world practice; engage customers in scientific dialogue.
- Collaborate with HQ Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Field Medical peers to align medical priorities.
- Communicate effectively across multiple channels (live/virtual presentations, written communication, discussions).
- Optimize patient centricity (health literacy and cultural awareness) in compliant medical exchanges.
- Deliver approved medical content to HCPs across local/regional/national forums.
- Identify and engage appropriate customer segments (individual HCPs and organized customers such as medical groups, IDNs, payers).
- Field and manage inbound medical inquiries via triage processes with timely compliant follow-up.
- Support clinical trials and Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) lifecycle; partner to identify appropriate sites/investigators, including under-represented populations.
- Cultivate expertise via literature review, competitive monitoring, congresses, and external expert engagement.
- Engage patient advocacy organizations; deliver insights on structures/capabilities/unmet needs.
- Serve on committees/initiatives; partner with analytics and cross-functional stakeholders to evolve medical initiatives.
- Complete training/compliance requirements; use digital tools to document interactions per Pfizer systems/policies.

Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree required (e.g., PharmD, PhD, DNP, or equivalent terminal degree).
- 1+ years relevant experience in clinical practice, clinical research, health services research, or pharma/biotech medical affairs with increasing responsibility.
- Experience engaging HCPs in independent scientific exchange and medical decision-making.
- Strong clinical/technical expertise; excellent oral/written/presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote field environment; matrix collaboration; adaptability.
- Strong problem-solving and enterprise networking; proficiency with digital technologies.
- Ability to synthesize evidence/real-world insights/customer perspectives to inform medical strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Field Medical or Medical Affairs experience.
- Knowledge of regulations/codes/guidelines governing industry-HCP interactions.

Travel/Environment:
- Travel 50–80%; operate Pfizer company car; valid US driver’s license; no DUI/DWI/impaired driving citations in past 7 years.
- Territory: must reside in VA/NC/SC.
