Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute medical strategy and customer engagement in assigned territory (WV/KY/TN/MS), coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain deep scientific/therapeutic area knowledge; deliver truthful, balanced, compliant information for unsolicited HCP requests.
- Share customer insights to inform medical strategy, content, and execution; identify gaps between evidence and real-world practice.
- Communicate via live/virtual and written materials; ensure patient-centric, culturally aware engagements.
- Deliver approved medical content across forums; field/manage inbound medical inquiries via triage.
- Support clinical trials (including ISR) by partnering with Global Medical Affairs/WWR&D/Global Product Dev; identify sites/investigators.
- Cultivate expertise via literature review, congresses, and external experts; understand and discuss clinical study design and data interpretation.
- Engage patient advocacy organizations; serve on committees; represent Medical Affairs professionally.
- Maintain training/compliance; use digital tools to document interactions.
Basic Qualifications:
- MD required.
- 0+ years relevant experience in clinical practice/research/health services/pharma/biotech medical affairs with increasing responsibility.
- Required: experience in independent scientific exchange/medical decision-making; excellent communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities remotely.
- Highly desirable: experience in designated therapeutic area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Field Medical or Medical Affairs experience.
- Familiarity with industry regulations/codes/guidelines for HCP interactions.
Travel/Environment:
- Travel 50–80%; operate company car; valid US driver’s license (DUI/DWI in past 7 years disqualifies).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base salary $189,200–$315,400; bonus target 22.5%; eligible for long-term incentive; comprehensive benefits including 401(k) match and healthcare.
