Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, medical surveillance, and sustainability laws and regulations.
- Manage OSHA PSM elements (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119) for the Cogeneration Plant (COGEN).
- Support key PSM documentation (PSI, P&IDs, equipment specs, relief device records, chemical inventories).
- Support PHA and HAZOP studies; resolve action items timely.
- Manage Management of Change (MOC) for modifications to COGEN processes, equipment, and procedures.
- Oversee Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new/modified equipment.
- Develop and improve EHS programs, policies, procedures, and training.
- Serve as subject matter expert for high-risk work programs (e.g., working from heights, electrical safety, excavation/trenching, construction safety, hot work, line breaking, LOTO, safe work permits, process safety management, mechanical integrity, contractor safety).
- Investigate industrial accidents/injuries and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in EHS committees, audits/inspections, and investigations using site management platforms.
- Lead SOP reviews against BMS/compliance standards; track gaps and CAPAs.
- Coach/mentor EHS team members.

Qualifications:
- BS in science or engineering (graduate degree and/or professional license/certification desired).
- 10–15 years in EHS roles within highly regulated operations/manufacturing.
- Prefer chemical, power plant, or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Matrix organization experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with EHS systems (e.g., Intelex).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex problems strategically and calmly.
