Senior Manager – Biomarker Data Scientist
Responsibilities
- Develop/apply computational methods for patient segmentation using multimodal clinical and omics data.
- Partner with statisticians to write/review/execute protocols and statistical analysis plans (SAP) for biomarkers/diagnostics and biomarker strategy.
- Execute biomarker analyses on BMS clinical trials and real-world data cohorts.
- Perform innovative statistical analyses of high-dimensional molecular data (e.g., gene expression, sequencing).
- Contribute to scientific/statistical strategy, including predictive biomarker(s) and precision medicine.
- Optimize and validate biomarker assays for clinical trial use.
- Develop and apply state-of-the-art algorithms; formulate/implement/test/validate predictive models and scalable automated processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinicians, data scientists, translational medicine scientists, statisticians, IT).
- Manage resources to deliver quality outputs on timelines.
Key Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative field + 1+ year experience, or Master’s + 3+ years industry experience.
- Strong -omics/molecular assay data analysis experience.
- Knowledge of molecular biology and disease pathways (preferred).
- Biomarker analysis experience with clinical trials or EHR data.
- Modeling experience in pharma R&D; AI/ML; proficient in SQL, Python, R, and cloud platforms.
- Statistical/ML on high-dimensional, high-throughput data for time-to-event and longitudinal outcomes.
- Strong independent + collaborative execution; problem-solving; communication, visualization.
