Position Summary
- Data Protection & Insider Risk Senior Specialist (U.S.-based, hybrid; Lawrenceville, NJ). Investigate and respond to DLP/data security incidents for operations in Mainland China, partnering with global U.S. and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally; help DLP engineering teams (India/Switzerland) develop/implement China-tailored DLP policies.
- Triage alerts; investigate and escalate non-compliance events per BMS DLP response plan.
- Lead periodic risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate data security risks.
- Review/update escalation and response procedures for policy non-compliance.
- Develop/maintain metrics for data protection program performance in the China market.
- Monitor DLP/data security technology and industry trends; recommend system improvements.
China Specific Focus
- Mandatory fluency in Mandarin Chinese (and other local writing systems) and English.
- Deep knowledge of China business culture; experience with China-based stakeholders.
- Knowledge of collaboration technologies used in China.
- Strong grasp of China laws/regulations/standards/trade barriers impacting data protection.
Qualifications / Required Skills
- 5+ years in data security and DLP; strong cyber security, risk management, and compliance experience.
- Proven DLP-related incident response investigation/participation experience.
- Familiarity with DLP technologies (encryption, access controls, ticketing) and SIEM.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
- Excellent analytical/problem-solving and communication skills.
