Role Summary
The Senior Manager Data Products – Therapeutic Area (TA) is responsible for shaping and delivering high‑value, user‑centric data products that enable advanced analytics, data science, and AI/ML capabilities across the Therapeutic Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery of TA‑facing data products; translate scientific and analytics use cases into functional/technical requirements.
- Contribute to and execute a TA data product roadmap aligned with enterprise data strategy (discovery, translational research, clinical development, real‑world evidence).
- Lead/support agile product delivery; adhere to FAIR data principles.
- Drive integration and harmonization of internal/external data (clinical trial data, omics, imaging, competitor intelligence, registries, RWE datasets).
- Contribute to development/curation/application of TA ontologies for semantic consistency.
- Align TA semantic models/metadata with enterprise standards and external frameworks (e.g., CDISC, GA4GH, FHIR, NCI Thesaurus) and ensure products are AI‑ready.
- Partner with TA Data Science and stakeholders to co‑design products; collaborate with architecture/governance and knowledge/master data teams.
- Interface with IT, compliance, and regulatory partners to meet quality/privacy/global regulatory expectations.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership to product owners, data engineers, and TA data domain experts; coach/mentor the team.
- Define/monitor product KPIs; communicate progress and value realization.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s in Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Life Sciences, or related.
- 6–10+ years in pharma/biotech R&D focused on data products/engineering/analytics/data science.
- Experience delivering TA domain data products; hands‑on multi‑modal data (omics, imaging, translational, clinical trial data, and/or RWD/RWE).
- Strong data product design, modeling, integration, and transformation.
- Familiarity with research, clinical development, and regulatory data requirements.
- Working knowledge of metadata, ontologies, semantic models, knowledge graphs; align with standards (CDISC, GA4GH, FHIR).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and influence; ability to drive adoption/change.
