Role Summary
The Senior Manager Data Products β Therapeutic Area (TA) shapes and delivers user-centric data products enabling advanced analytics, data science, and AI/ML across the TA.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery of TA-facing data products; translate scientific/analytics use cases into functional/technical requirements.
- Execute a TA data product roadmap aligned with enterprise data strategy (discovery, translational research, clinical development, real-world evidence).
- Lead/support agile delivery; adhere to FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
- Integrate/harmonize internal and external data sources (clinical trial data, omics, imaging, competitor intelligence, registries, RWE).
- Develop/curate TA ontologies; align semantic models and metadata to enterprise standards and frameworks (e.g., CDISC, GA4GH, FHIR, NCI Thesaurus).
- Co-design products with TA Data Science and scientific stakeholders; ensure integration into enterprise knowledge graphs/catalogs/platforms.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to product owners/data engineers/TA data experts; support governance and agile delivery standards.
- Define/monitor product KPIs; communicate progress and value realization; champion adoption and data literacy.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs in Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Life Sciences, or related.
- 6β10+ years in pharma/biotech R&D (data products/data engineering/analytics platforms/data science).
- Proven domain-specific data product delivery; hands-on multi-modal data (omics, imaging, translational/clinical trial and/or RWD/RWE).
- Strong data product design, modeling, integration, transformation; familiarity with research/clinical development/regulatory data.
- Working knowledge of metadata management, ontologies/semantic models, knowledge graphs; experience aligning with CDISC, GA4GH, FHIR.
- Strong collaboration/communication/influence; ability to drive adoption in a matrixed organization.
