Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and present corporate and portfolio strategy recommendations in collaboration with R&D, operations, finance, commercial, and executive leadership.
- Support program-level decision-making through strategic framing and rigorous analysis.
- Assess inbound and outbound partnering opportunities and lead diligence efforts.
- Develop and recommend potential deal structures, including key business and financial terms.
- Drive negotiations of term sheets and definitive agreements with senior leadership, legal, finance, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with leadership and project teams to manage existing alliances and drive productive partner relationships.
- Contribute to investor-facing materials and messaging for corporate milestones and conferences.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Passionate about science, medicine, and business; intellectually curious.
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD, or JD) strongly preferred.
- Typically 4+ years in investment banking, venture capital, management consulting, corporate development, business development, or biopharma strategy.
- Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and drive multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly collaborative; builds trust across cross-functional teams.
- Strong business instincts; strategic and analytical thinking.
- Fluency in financial modeling, business analytics, and basic valuation methodologies.
- Facility with the language of science.
- Strong executive presence; outstanding written and verbal communication.
Benefits/Compensation:
- Salary range: $151,000–$196,000. Total rewards include 401(k), healthcare coverage, and ESPP.
