Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics, Pipeline is a key member of the Commercial Effectiveness organization, responsible for generating, analyzing, and supporting Directors of Commercial Analytics by transforming data into an actionable perspective of the business. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and FP&A, to understand and utilize data to deliver a proactive perspective on the business. This position will be located in Bridgewater, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing and ad-hoc analytics to support Directors of Commercial Analytics in driving analyses for upcoming launches (e.g., understanding market landscape, patient journey, customer needs, HCP characteristics, payer landscape)
- Partner closely with other Commercial Effectiveness team members and cross-functional teams to ensure analyses encompass key takeaways across the business
- Develop expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, related commercial products, and assets in development to ensure accurate data interpretation
- Become a trusted partner to members of the Commercial Effectiveness team as well as internal partners
- Ensure cross-functional communication and alignment to enhance impact of insights on business strategy
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree (MS, PhD)
- Required: Consistent track record of success through collaboration and execution
- Required: 5+ years of experience in commercial analytics with 3+ years within the biopharmaceutical industry required (mix of education and experience also considered)
- Preferred: Rare disease / specialty / respiratory experience
- Preferred: Product launch experience
Skills
- Solid understanding and expertise in conducting analyses with the goal of garnering actionable insights
- Experience with data tools, such as SQL, Python, and Excel; programming skills with SQL
- Ability to understand different data sets (marketing data, sales, claims, access etc.) to use in building models to answer key business questions; ability to build predictive models that provide strategic insights
- Ability to make the complex simple; adept at translating complex analytical results into compelling business stories
- Excellent collaborative, consultative and solution-minded approach to working across multiple functions
- Proactivity in mining and understanding data interdependencies and trends
- Self-motivated, with a sense of urgency
- Can persuade and influence others; handle conflict appropriately
- Strong and agile teammate able to adapt and implement based on evolving business needs
