Job Purpose:
The Senior Manager, Clinical Supply Chain Logistics, oversees distribution of all goods supporting clinical programs and leads timely supply of clinical trial materials. Ensures investigational medicinal products (IMPs) and ancillary supplies are delivered to clinical trial sites worldwide in a safe, accurate, timely, and compliant manner. Works with Clinical teams to translate trial protocols into forecasting models and to develop/oversee a clinical supply plan. Leads delivery and optimal inventory levels across sites and supports packaging and labeling activities. Requires import/export experience for clinical materials.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build clinical supply plan to inform manufacturing, labeling, and forecasting across internal/external stakeholders.
- Track inventory levels and expiry dating across multiple sites.
- Collaborate to develop demand forecasts based on trial protocols and timelines.
- Coordinate logistics across multiple sites and partners.
- Plan and oversee packaging and labeling operations (including with CMOs).
- Participate/lead investigations with Quality as applicable.
- Identify supply risks/issues and propose solutions to meet timelines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain planning processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs in Biological Sciences or related field.
- 8+ years industry experience; 5+ years in distribution/logistics (healthcare).
- Controlled substances and Hazardous Materials experience (plus).
- Expert GxP knowledge; strong organizational and forecasting skills; vendor/cross-functional management.
- Clinical supply chain planning experience.
- Cold chain experience (strongly preferred).
- IRT, clinical asset tracking, and experience with/without ERP systems.
- Labeling requirements experience for domestic/international studies.
- Experience with Manufacturing, Project Management, clinical teams, contract manufacturing partners, and/or cold chain shippers/logistics providers.
Working Conditions:
- Periodic evening/weekend work and overnight travel as needed.
