Senior Manager, Clinical Outsourcing and Vendor Management

Responsibilities:
- Provide primary outsourcing and vendor management support for functional areas supporting clinical trials within Tango, ensuring alignment with study and organizational objectives
- Interact with cross-functional teams to identify and meet outsourcing and contracting needs for clinical vendors (including CROs, laboratories, and specialty providers)
- Lead vendor identification, assessment, and selection for outsourced services: prepare and manage requests for proposals, coordinate cross-functional review/assessment, and conduct budget analysis and negotiation
- Identify and promote cost-saving opportunities; monitor out-of-scope cost adjustments, review and negotiate contracted budgets and change orders, and ensure out-of-scope costs are properly authorized and documented
- Ensure vendor adherence to contract and scope of work throughout the life of study
- Monitor and analyze vendor performance trends across functions and across multiple projects/programs
- Develop and optimize outsourcing/vendor management processes, tools, and templates; train internal teams on best practices and new procedures
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders; serve as primary point of contact for vendors and support resolution of vendor performance issues

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences, business, or related field
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in clinical operations, outsourcing, procurement, or vendor management in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/CRO industry (equivalent education/experience considered)
- Proven experience managing clinical vendors and outsourcing activities for clinical trials
- Track record establishing effective business relationships with internal and external customers
- Experience with vendor management best practices
- Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and collaboration platforms (Sharepoint or Egnyte); experience with contract management systems a plus
