Operations
Goals:
- Operate and continuously improve end-to-end clinical data pipelines across cloud-based data lake and data warehouse environments; build scalable ingestion and transformation capabilities; ensure reliable, compliant delivery of clinical data products.

Accountabilities:
- Own end-to-end clinical data pipelines (build, run, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot) for stable, performant, traceable operations.
- Drive operational excellence via monitoring/alerting, incident management, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Build and scale cloud ETL/ELT capabilities (AWS/Azure) for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and delivery.
- Automate integrations and operations (scheduling, metadata-driven pipelines, automated quality checks).
- Define data transfer specifications, acceptance criteria, and integration patterns; implement integrations with error handling and reconciliation.
- Serve as SME for structured and unstructured data integration and continuous improvements.
- Partner with downstream teams to deliver fit-for-purpose datasets and interfaces (format, structure, cadence).
- Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery; establish/manage SLAs/OLAs.
- Design/deliver GxP-aligned solutions with lifecycle documentation, traceability, and audit-ready evidence.
- Embed data integrity controls (e.g., ALCOA+) and support validated operations (change control, documentation, reviews, inspection readiness).
- Collaborate with Quality/Compliance/IT on access controls and logging/audit trails.

Education & Experience / Qualifications:
- BS/BA (or equivalent) + 6+ years in data engineering/pipeline operations and multi-source data integration (clinical/biopharma preferred).
- Strong SQL, data modeling, and data quality controls; NoSQL/integration patterns.
- Python (preferred) or R; production pipeline experience (testing, logging, monitoring); SDLC familiarity; Jira/Confluence required.
- CDISC/CDASH/SDTM knowledge preferred.
- Hands-on CSV/JSON/XML and API/file-based integrations.
- Cloud: AWS (e.g., EC2/EMR/RDS/Redshift/Spark) and platforms (Snowflake/Databricks); ETL/ELT frameworks; data lake/warehouse technologies.
- GitHub/GitLab version control; CI/CD exposure preferred.
- GxP-regulated environment experience with change control/audit readiness; embed data integrity controls.
- Mentoring ability; independent/collaborative problem-solving; strong communication.
- Regulatory inspection experience preferred; AWS/Azure and/or Python certification preferred.
