Sr. Manager, Clinical Business Operations
Role Responsibilities:
- Identify, engage, and contract with clinical vendors; manage relationships with key vendor stakeholders.
- Manage the RFP and vendor selection process.
- Oversee negotiation and execution of contractual agreements and change orders.
- Establish governance processes (e.g., joint oversight committees) with clinical vendors to monitor service levels and KPIs, and manage issue escalation and resolution.
- Partner with finance on monthly accruals.
- Support financial planning and financial management of clinical studies, including process improvements to calculate budgets and track expenses.
- Proactively identify operational and process improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in clinical vendor management and/or clinical financial management (sponsor experience strongly preferred).
- Extensive experience with vendor oversight/alliance management: vendor selection, RFP process, contract development, performance management, and continuous improvement.
- Expertise working cross-functionally (e.g., clinical operations, finance, legal, quality, systems/process) and with vendor functions.
- Strong understanding of clinical development phase activity finance with hands-on financial analytics experience.
- Effective negotiation, project management, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Motivated self-starter in a fast-paced small company environment.
- Strong communication (including public speaking) skills.
- Strong interpersonal/organizational skills with attention to detail; pragmatic and able to manage multiple projects.
Estimated Salary Range: $124,000β$177,000
