Senior Manager Automation

Role: Senior Manager of Automation Engineering leading a team supporting manufacturing automation systems in a biopharma setting. Objectives include enhancing system reliability, efficiency, and compliance while supporting manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: oversee automation systems, manage vendor relations, lead cross-functional collaborations with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and IT; lead projects for system improvements; support GxP-regulated automation change controls, investigations, and validations; supervise team development and performance. Requirements: Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related; 8+ years supporting automation/control systems; hands-on experience with automated controls and system troubleshooting; project management experience; familiarity with regulated environments. Preferred: experience in biopharmaceutical, GxP manufacturing, nuclear, or naval sectors; knowledge of software change control, CAPA, deviation investigations; 3+ years of team leadership managing 8+ employees. High-Value: biopharma manufacturing, GxP, automation, validation, process control, regulated environment compliance, site with over 400 servers and 22 unit operations. Work setup: onsite in Rensselaer, NY, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; participation in an on-call rotation approximately every fourth week.
