Purpose: Lead planning and execution of standard and ad-hoc analytics to identify/quantify payer opportunities and threats, recommend market access strategies/tactics, develop analytical capabilities, and align insights with brand commercial goals; influence pricing, contracting, and access strategies to improve patient/physician access.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead standard/ad-hoc portfolio analytics for key market access issues using data analytics, customer insights, and business knowledge.
- Use claims analysis and market research to identify market dynamics and build models portraying risks, opportunities, and sensitivities.
- Apply knowledge of the U.S. healthcare landscape and AbbVie therapeutic areas to proactively address opportunities/threats.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal U.S. Market Access Sales and Marketing stakeholders.
- Conduct and guide communication of findings, results, and recommendations with Brand and Market Access leadership and cross-functional teams; ensure quality/accuracy of analytical outputs; improve payer knowledge and reflect insights in brand strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 7+ years professional experience.
- 4+ years marketing/sales analytics.
- 2+ years pharmaceutical market access experience with Health Plans, PBMs, Hospital Systems, Specialty Pharmacies, and Healthcare Policy stakeholders.
- Strong storytelling; concise, impactful communication.
- 2+ years SQL.
Preferred:
- Masterβs or MBA; strong syndicated data knowledge.
- 3β5 years market access and/or 3β5 years marketing insights (physician/consumer).
- 2+ years Python or statistical programming.
Skills:
- Syndicated and AbbVie proprietary data; data science/modeling; stakeholder management.
- Healthcare policy implications; private and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid helpful).
- Advanced modeling, scenario planning, and narrative analytics.
- SQL (complex queries, manipulation, tuning).
- Power BI automation; Dataiku (plus).
