Senior Manager, Analytical Sciences

Role: Lead analytical R&D scientist in ORIC's CMC group, providing analytical leadership for drug development programs. Responsibilities: oversee outsourced and in-house method development, validation, and characterization; manage GMP manufacturing-related activities; author regulatory documents; collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical supply; and ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. Requirements: Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or related field with 7-10+ years in pharma/biotech industry; extensive hands-on experience with analytical technologies (UHPLC, LC-MS, GC, spectroscopic methods); proven expertise in process chemistry, method validation, and development for small molecules; experience in late-stage development and regulatory submissions; strong problem-solving, scientific curiosity, and independent working ability. Preferred: experience with Person-in-Plant oversight, working within commercial settings, and familiarity with toxicology and clinical development processes. High-Value: focus on small molecules targeting cancer resistance mechanisms, including drug process development, stability, and NDA preparation. Work Setup: hybrid/remote options; location San Diego; salary $170K-$185K, commensurate with experience.
