Position Summary
The Senior Manager, A&D Program and Portfolio Management role supports the J&J Technology Acquisitions & Divestitures (A&D) team’s strategy for effective, efficient, and compliant execution of the A&D portfolio across acquisitions, divestitures, and licensing deals.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement performance monitoring tools; conduct monthly portfolio reviews and weekly status updates; refine processes using financial management reports and lessons learned.
- Define and document project end state/metrics; align business separation strategies to workstream objectives; use Nexus and Polaris to report delivery against OKRs and drive deal value performance metrics.
- Develop standardized frameworks across planning, execution, and closeout; align reporting in Nexus and Devensoft; use RAID Logs and dashboards to track risks/actions/issues/decisions; create consistent data models/templates; enhance playbook methodology and tools.
- Lead coordination with deal leads; establish escalation pathways; assess project performance; partner with A&D teams to ensure consistent delivery of key deal artifacts.
- Track/report costs; manage deal applications information in Fusion; estimate/manage costs and resource allocations for current/future fiscal years and ensure appropriate resourcing.
- Establish program governance, RAID/status reporting, resource and change management; ensure meeting cadence; define roles for escalation paths.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 8–10+ years relevant experience in M&A (acquisitions/divestitures, investment collaborations and/or licensing deals) and application of program/project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership of IT programs/projects globally; strong knowledge of enterprise/sector technology platforms.
- Portfolio/program reporting tools at enterprise level; matrixed environment experience delivering on-time, in-scope, on-budget.
- Familiarity with integration frameworks (e.g., TIME) and Transition Service Agreements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and data analytics; financial/business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Healthcare/life sciences/R&D portfolio management experience in M&A.
- PMP certification.
- Responsible AI understanding; ability to learn/adopt AI tools; prompt-generation experience; knowledge of agentic AI and AI use cases.
