Role: Senior Maintenance Mechanic supporting manufacturing utility and clean utility systems at a biopharma facility. Primary objectives include ensuring reliable operation and troubleshooting of critical systems supporting vaccine production, such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, WFI, and clean steam. Responsibilities encompass performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting outages and startup activities, developing SOPs, executing SAP work orders, and supporting validation and compliance efforts. Qualifications: High School diploma required; technical or associate degree preferred; minimum 5 years' industrial maintenance experience, ideally in GMP or regulated environments, with knowledge of utility systems, PLCs, and control systems. Preferred skills include refrigeration or HVAC certification, experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing, and familiarity with SAP, Siemens, and Allen-Bradley systems. High-value biopharma specifics: support of vaccine manufacturing facilities, GMP compliance, regulated utility systems, and involvement in validation and change control processes. Work setup: day shift on a 2-2-3 rotation, with on-call responsibilities, in Durham, NC. Travel: approximately 10%. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence of critical manufacturing support systems.
