Senior Maintenance Specialist (reports to Director of Manufacturing Engineering)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement the site preventive maintenance program and site calibration program.
- Assist maintenance staff in troubleshooting difficult problems/equipment failures to reduce downtime and equipment failures; train/build maintenance capability.
- Support development of future plant expansion validation and commissioning protocols; work with engineering and contractors.
- Procure and direct outside contractors for specialized activities (validation, calibrations, filter certifications, lab instrumentation certifications) and train on applicable SOPs per Quality Assurance guidelines.
- Work with maintenance and engineering to develop systems that lower operating costs and reduce risks/equipment failures.
- Administer the facility building management system.
- Follow occupational safety programs, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and fall protection.
- Assist maintenance as necessary and support production with process equipment as necessary.
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 5 years’ experience in cGMP or cGXP at an operational level supporting manufacturing in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical cGMPs (US and EU).
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- BA/BS in scientific discipline, related field, or comparable experience.
- Experience with commercial drug manufacturing.
