Responsibilities
- Partner with IT and scientific researchers to define and deliver digital capabilities for Drug Discovery Research, focused on Sample Management and Reagent Management.
- Translate scientific workflows into digital requirements; serve as domain liaison for tracking, storage, consumption, and reporting.
- Elicit/curate requirements and user stories; shape business demands, stakeholder experiences, and business cases.
- Prototype and develop thin-slice solutions; use low-code/no-code and scripting (Python/SQL or equivalent); lead POCs; define acceptance criteria and support UAT.
- Apply AI/GenAI to accelerate requirements, documentation, and communication; evaluate AI augmentation opportunities; apply responsible AI principles; mentor on AI literacy; contribute to AI capability roadmap.
- Oversee Jr. IT Business Analysts/Consultants.
Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics) or Technical discipline (CS/IT or equivalent).
- 5+ years progressive IT experience in life sciences/pharma/biotech; hands-on Sample and/or Reagent Management in Drug Discovery Research.
- Ability to elicit/document/manage requirements (user stories, process maps, use cases); Agile/Scrum knowledge (SDLC/IT services).
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python; strong communication/collaboration; delivered high-value digital projects on time/budget.
Preferred
- Scientific inventory/reagent platforms; low-code/no-code (Power Platform, ServiceNow); GenAI in enterprise workflows; IIBA/business analysis certification; experience leading Jr. analysts.
