The Sr. IT Application Engineer plays an important role in delivering and managing strategic business applications, reporting and interfaces. This position will be the functional & technical subject matter expert (SME) for several applications. Most of these will be in the area of Commercial or Commercially related systems. The Application Engineer maintains a good relationship with the key users and the suppliers. They maintain the licenses and have a good understanding of the functional and technical challenges of the applications in scope. The applications and the appropriate documentation are kept up to date following the applicable change management process and reporting and audit activities are supported. Collaboration with the other Application Engineer(s) is crucial for the company as it ensures technical application experience is available during business hours for all sites. The Lexington site has more stakeholders and Process Owners that are involved with Commercially related systems (e.g. CRM, PSP, Websites, CIAM, Reimbursement) while the Amsterdam site has more stakeholders related to general, R&D (ELN/LIMS), Clinical and ERP related systems. As SME this role looks after 2nd level support issues; changes, technical process improvements, maintains documentation; compliance and audit reports.
The Sr. IT Application Engineer works closely with the IT Support Engineers who perform triage and first level support on incidents including those on Application level. During projects and changes the Application Engineer will work closely with the Business Analyst(s) and Project Manager.
