Role: Lead the design, programming, and management of automated control systems for scientific instruments such as neutron generators and tritium handling systems, integrating them into production facilities. Responsibilities include setting technical standards, directing end-to-end project delivery, aligning software architecture with business goals, shaping cross-platform technology strategies, mentoring team members, and representing the technical team externally. Requirements: 7+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering or equivalent; strong knowledge of I&C systems, hardware, software, and plant start-up processes; strategic thinking and critical evaluation skills. Preferred: experience with nuclear analog/digital instrumentation, control, monitoring, and knowledge of nuclear safety systems (NQA-1); understanding of radiation-tolerant cabling and safety considerations. Work environment involves moderate physical activity, handling objects up to 50 pounds, and working in radiologically controlled areas with appropriate safety measures. The role reports to leadership, involves cross-functional collaboration, and may require working in environments with exposure to radiation and physical risks. Salary range is $120,000–$155,000, with comprehensive benefits.
