Role Summary
Senior HR Business Partner based in North Carolina. This role links people strategy and performance, drives HR programs, and coaches managers and employees at all levels to support business success. Leads local and corporate organizational and leadership development programs and champions the Novo Nordisk Way.
Responsibilities
- Coach the senior Leadership Team (SLT) and people managers to ensure consistent handling, quality & execution timeliness for HR processes, including handling current issues and solutions, change management and communications support, talent management, performance appraisals, individual development plan execution, employee opinion survey results and team development plans, performance interventions, candidate selection recommendations, exit interviews and turnover analysis, new and revised job description process, and new management orientation.
- Partner with leaders to manage organizational changes and assist with future workforce planning needs.
- Manage global employee engagement survey planning and execution; assist leaders with the TDP process.
- Lead problem solving and process confirmation, implement identified solutions and ensure they are deployed in a sustainable manner.
- Model and teach the values of the NNWay, including inspiring and motivating site leaders and employees as required.
- Set direction and strategy, foster innovation and continuous improvement efforts, manage and provide resolution for complex business matters, drive performance including coaching and developing employees, and collaborate across boundaries.
- Provide training and promote diversity, drive the training needs assessment process, participate in and support new employee orientation segments, and plan/co-facilitate meetings as required.
- Execute and drive local, corporate and global HR projects/programs effectively and efficiently.
- Perform other human resources specialist duties, including serving in process championship roles, as assigned to support fellow partners and the business.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
- Other accountabilities, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum seven (7) years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing organization.
- Preferred: Previous management experience.
- Required: General knowledge of relevant employment law, personnel policies and procedures best practices.
- Required: Business understanding.
- Preferred: HR IT Systems knowledge and experience.
- Required: Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with preferred experience in impact and influence communication.
- Required: Analytical skills.
- Preferred: Lean Manufacturing applications in the workplace.
- Preferred: Change management experience.
- Preferred: Organizational development programs execution, including performance appraisal, individual development planning, staffing/workforce planning, problem resolution, future planning and organizational development, employee opinion survey response, etc.
- Required: Proven expertise in organizing information and people from across the organization to develop and implement policies and programs to promote positive employee relations and to support core processes to meet or exceed company business goals.
- Preferred: PHR or SPHR certification.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university required
- Associateβs degree in human resources or related field from an accredited university with nine (9) years of relevant HR generalist experience required
- High School Degree or equivalent with eleven (11) years of relevant HR generalist experience required
Additional Requirements
- Travel up to 10% of the time. Travel requirements may change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.
- Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction.
