Role Summary
Join Acadia as a Health Systems Manager/Senior Manager in the Carolinas region to build and nurture relationships with leading healthcare institutions, Centers of Excellence, hospitals, and thought leaders. Identify collaborative opportunities that improve access to innovative treatments and expand Acadia’s impact in the healthcare landscape. This strategic role focuses on driving strategy to implementation and pull-through at account and customer levels.
Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities, develop complex approaches to account engagement, and execute against ACADIA’s strategic imperatives.
- Assess and prioritize key health system opportunities based on market potential, payer influence, and strategic fit.
- Identify, develop and advance relationships with influential operational leaders, Specialty Pharmacies and Key Medical Experts.
- Create and manage business plans for key IDN and Health System accounts that drive patient access, adherence, and meaningful patient outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior-level executives within targeted systems to align shared goals and outcomes.
- Use market data, system analytics, and competitive insights to inform strategic planning and execution.
- Educate on potential EHR interventions within Centers of Excellence and IDNs, reflecting patient journey gaps in care.
- Implement the medication transitions of care process within Health Systems, including system-wide discharge order sets.
- Understand P&T processes for assigned IDNs and key institutions to assist in formulary access when needed for EHR interventions or transitions of care.
- Conduct IDN SPP QBRs to advance projects, overcome access barriers, and identify future opportunities.
- Educate and engage Fellows & Residents to align on project development within Center of Excellence, IDN or Health System.
- Meet Brand and Access Objectives that drive market share growth while ensuring compliance with targeted accounts.
- Record account information and competitive intelligence through available account management resources and tools.
- Create access and pull-through opportunities for the field sales organization within Centers of Excellence, improving compliance, market share, and profits.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and US healthcare laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Health Systems Manager: Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, account management, or hospital sales.
- Senior Health Systems Manager: Minimum 12 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
- Senior Health Systems Manager: Minimum 5 years in Institutional, IDN/complex health system management, or Regional Sales Manager with national-level leadership.
- Experience with integrated delivery networks (IDNs), Centers of Excellence, and large Health Systems.
- Experience developing strategic business plans, leading cross-functional account teams, and managing high-level customer relationships.
- Experience in CNS or rare disease markets preferred.
- Ability to travel 50-75%.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or related field.
Additional Requirements
