Role Summary
Senior Global Project Head, Neurology Development leads early development activities in Neurology Development, shaping strategy and managing execution for multiple projects from IND-enabling studies to first-in-human studies and proof-of-concept trials. Works with TA Heads to build and renew the early portfolio in Neurology, with potential transition to later-stage development roles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee development planning, execution, and budget; own the overall program strategy and lead the international cross-functional team to meet program objectives
- Participate in lifecycle management strategy planning in collaboration with marketing teams
- Propose strategies for interactions with health authorities
- Establish project goals aligned with resource allocation and objectives
- Generate support and implement clinical studies; ensure operational plans are integrated across all functions
- Responsible for annual budget deliverables
- Interact with regulatory authorities, approve protocols, informed consent documents, clinical study reports, and product labels
- Manage communication strategy and scientific disclosures, travel approvals, and expense reports; interact with opinion leaders and consultants
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; Medical Doctor or PhD preferred
- 10 years of business-related experience
- 6+ years of experience in drug development within a therapeutic area
- Deep expertise in Early Development (Translational Medicine)
- Strong leadership to manage international, cross-functional teams
- Experience leading and managing groups of professionals
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in English
- Travel up to 25% required

- Deep scientific, technical, and clinical expertise in Neurology; strong knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimerβs disease
- Ability to evaluate preclinical and clinical data; maintain credibility with stakeholders
- Strategic thinking, project and budget management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to influence at high levels and engage multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Regulatory strategy and interactions with health authorities
Education
- Biomedical degree required; advanced degree preferred
