Role Summary

Senior Global Medical Affairs Leader for Obesity and Cardiorenal outcomes, shaping the future of obesity care and leading medical strategies across the obesity and cardiorenal outcomes therapy area (heart failure and CKD). Enterprise-wide influence with cross-functional and cross-regional leadership, partnering with Medical and Commercial functions worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical leadership across the entire product lifecycle; advise on R&D investment decisions; lead pre-launch scientific efforts; accelerate evidence-based healthcare changes in the real world; drive cross-functional collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Required: Doctorate degree with at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry (Medical, Marketing, R&D, Market Access) or extensive health-system experience; demonstrated leadership in complex, global healthcare environments; strong regulatory and payer insight; proven ability to build networks and mentor teams; digital proficiency in evidence generation and communication; deep understanding of patient care pathways and healthcare transformation; ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Cardiologist with heart failure experience; USA healthcare system experience; Doctoral-level degree in cardiology/renal discipline; experience leading pivotal clinical trials (Phase 2–4) and RWE studies; broad Medical Affairs and cross-functional experience; global KOL and regulator relationships; track record of launching products in multiple markets; preference for Boston area.
